GE2025 Hot Spots: Former Marine Parade GRC MP Tan Chuan-Jin’s sudden resignation over an extramarital affair has left a notable gap in the constituency, a long-time PAP stronghold.

As the next election looms, his absence, coupled with the emergence of fresh faces, has made the GRC a key battleground to watch. https://cna.asia/4kjaoAi

His resignation and affair causes Tampines GRC in a hotspot as well. Also good lar rather than useless opp NSP wasting time contesting now more parties involved.

Tan Chuan Jin and Cheng Li Hui should hold a press conference to do a public apology to voters.

They cannot just run away from problems and expect voters to vote for PAP.

They should have courage like Jack Neo who held a public press conference to ask for forgiveness and apologise for the affair.

So many new faces and I am sure another replacement of a parachuted soldier will gleefully wag his tail in return for a great job title, minimal hours work, voluptuous salary and invalid promotion that guarantees satisfaction .

Aside from Mr Tan, the PAP team that claimed Marine Parade GRC at the 2020 General Election comprised political office-holders Tan See Leng and Edwin Tong, then-chief executive officer of NTUC FairPrice Seah Kian Peng and Mr Fahmi Aliman, the mayor of South East Community Development Council (CDC).

It is exactly because of that that the PAPpies are shitting in their pants
Because history has shown that if the WP is able to send in a credible team, they stand a very good chance of taking that contested GRC
Look at Aljunied GRC when they first contested in 2011
In winning, they took down, foreign minister George Yeo, leader of the PAP women wing and minister Lee Hwee Hua, next to be appointed speaker of parliament Zainul Abidin, and who would forget Ong Yee Kung
And in last election, in winning Sengkang GRC
WP took down the NTUC Chief Ng Chee Meng, senior minister of state and potential next health minister Lam Min Pin, senior parliamentary secretary and potential next minister Amrin Amin

More office holders are going to lose their million dollars salaries the next elections

If you go East Coast
You will hear a lot of people said they are very disappointed with HSK
Many don’t like him, said he did nothing for them
By the way, even though he’s a 4G leader
East Coast winning margin was small

PAP MPs in East Coast GRC: Heng Swee Keat, Jessica Tan, Cheryl Chan, Tan Kiat How and Maliki Osman.
Actually this team in EAST COAST is very weak

EXACTLY!
And he talked so much about the East Coast Plan!
What plan?
People were expecting a Jewel type of development, or at least a beach development like the Gold Coast of Australia or a Monaco beach resort
End up only expanding the beaches and a few playgrounds and food courts here and there

PSP ramps up walkabouts in West Coast GRC after Iswaran's resignation; Tan Cheng Bock, 83, doesn't rule out standing in next GE

I think all these GRCs , if they still exist, are winnable by the opposition
1. Aljunied (WP)
2. Sengkang (WP)
3. West Coast (PSP)
4. Tampines (WP)
5. Marine Parade (WP)
6. East Coast (WP)

Jalan Besar is a dark horse
WP wants to contest there
But Goh Meng Seng (PPP) refuses to give way

To be honest, I’ll be happy if the opposition can win4 GRCs
Many are now not convinced with LW’s explanation of the increase in GST

WC is their only hope… they shld just focus on this one and put 101% effort there… if win.. will be rewarded with 4 or 5 seats (depending on gerrymandering).. this shld be TCB’s last one already… his final contributions to his new baby and sg opp cause.. with 1 grc.. his party would have a small standing in the parliament..

With reference to 三国, psp will be the 蜀 that is last formed..

A bit hard la… coalition between the 2 parties quite risky… if contest in same grc lagi high risk…

PSP need a sure safe and sound win to start a legacy… just hope the one or two other candidates can be the best they can find lo…
