Not just bigger apple. Any apple that is of a different size will be problematic. Unless this gadget can be adjusted based on size.

It's same as using that peeler manually

Just exerting the right force will do the trick

As I observe the GIF more, the gadget seems to be able to adjust to the diameter of the apple as it peels. Should be ok for different sizes unless the apple is so huge, say around 4 times the volume or more than the one in the GIF.
