if Not mistaken , might be like this ....
maybe the year 2027 or 2028 they increase one more percent hike in GST that means 10 percent.....
But i doubt so. Partly if I remember they claim will not increase GST Till 2030.
Which also the next GE at the year. SO the best time they one shot increase more than 1 percent should be after 2030 GE.

Remember 50 percent don’t pay taxes but GST will go higher

But GST is low, and see how many claimed it is high during the election and people just believe it. And SG's income tax is also among the lows, most hardly pay anything.
The only taxes I know definitely is high is COEs and maybe sin taxes.
