Healthcare for the elderly is a very real and serious issue in Singapore now.

Two old people and one young and economically active person....that's how the TFR of 1.1 pans out.

The GST increase will be borne by the young who tend to spend more than the old.  Fortunately, most of the young are foreigners so they bear the brunt of the GST increase more...and they do not get GST Rebates unlike locals.

You really like to talk cock and throw smoke

GST applies to all age group equally and as population aged, nore old pple without means of employment and less young pple

Should stagger the increase across age group so the young will let the old spend their money for lower GST

Or dont increase at all for older folks

Which fcking idiot moron spent millions every year on Skills future

The question is not about how many citizens uses it

But base on MOE Standards, what is the ROI

Sending the grannies on how to use the ipad is a National joke

And many courses are not available for mid- career

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

They are not efficient. No one in their party and civil service rally want to ensure anything. That is why they are losing votes.

A huge bunch of Prata Rojak Kings

1. Hospitals are made up of around 70% non- citizens

So having these FWs nurses did not save much costs over the past 10 years

2. Gan KY also raised our Healthcare Premiums announced in Sept 2020

The amount for elderly is a huge jump, too

PAP is always OUT- of- control over their own made problems

Sack Gan KY, lah!

Old people tend to spend less than young people. Get out from your shophouse and go to the BIG shopping malls and see for yourself.  You hardly see a lau funker or lau funtie there unless you go to the basement supermarket.

What the elderly spend on is healthcare but GST is ABSORBED/ WAIVED  if you go to polylines and hospitals run by PAP.  If you go private, then good luck and fug off.

It's just a convenient excuse to say GST revenue is spent on healthcare. They anyhow spend on other things including their world highest salary come from where? All dip from the same pool lah. So if less tax revenue, then they must spend more prudently by cutting redundancy and non-essential. That's how they throw smoke to get the buy in.

The govt should look into ways of spending prudently instead of raising taxes. I can name some of these:

1. Letting senior govt officials take economy class when travelling. Business class only for the very top official.
2. Cut the subsistence allowance for public servants going on overseas trips. Let them claim for expenses instead. The so-called 'hardship' money is ridiculous as the amount is a few hundred dollars per day.
3. Cut unnecessary defence spending. Most of us who have been thru NS know how much is SAF's wastage.
4. Cut down on unnecessary public works. I've seen some structures torn down a few months after being built. Too much money is it?
5. Get rid of the mayors. They are not needed.

Also cut the number of MP by 30% so they will work harder and less absenteeism in parliament. Ministers pay to cut and aligned with other ministers in the world.

Tell your useless PAP

Never create good jobs so how to save enough

Worst, never create the Right Jobs for so many years

For the 3.5% jobless,  around 200k

And those actively seeking for 3 or 8 years are not considered jobless in the data like my neighbor upstairs, another who knows 100k

How to save enough??

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Don't forget those that jobless more than 6 month or on contract on / off 2 to 5 month will not reflect in their stat.

PAP created own problem

By making more & more citizens jobless every year

So must increase GST to punish all other locals here

While FTs and PRs are exempted from most GST because they do not buy much here

They buy from their own home country ie clothes, cooking pans, lunch boxes. slippers . . .

GST is not that inclusive as they claim

Because PAP is forever OUT- of- Control

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?
