GY got interviewed on SCMP leh....A far more respected media than the likes of BBC, Bloomberg or CNN - the propaganda spin machines that even Americans and Brits ignore now.
In any case, it is clear he is more than happy to keep his freedom to share his view on China and geopolitics vs being trapped in mllion-$ a year salaried ministers who have to watch their words even more...

Don’t think he interested in becoming president, he looks more suited to be an academician and not as a politician. He looks happy with his freedom from political entanglements, would be surprised if he gets directly involved in that again.
