Germany, France are joining forces in nuclear power... to build a fusion power plant
#1

The German company Bruker joined forces with four other European manufacturers, including the French group Alcen, to create the company Gauss Fusion. Objective: connect a nuclear fusion power plant with a power of one gigawatt to the electricity grid within 15, even 20 years. Although the technological challenges remain immense, the young company, supported by the German federal government, intends to make a difference thanks to its industrial approach and its experience of large projects. She is preparing to open an office in France.

Indeed, if Germany has decided to turn its back on nuclear fission technology, it is not at all ignoring the challenges of nuclear fusion... Quite the contrary. Not only does the country have the most cutting-edge research teams in this field, but it also has industrial ambitions.
