The peak could in particular arrive more quickly in Ile-de-France, where the Omicron variant is now in the majority at 95% (87% in the rest of France), and later in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, where the variant Omicron was installed later and is in the majority at 77%. Arnaud Fontanet specifies: "The prospect is that in February, the number of contaminations drops considerably and we hope that in March we have reached much lower levels."
