While the vaccination strategy was correct, the details of how it's implemented and what is considered vaccine and the timing was not optimal.

The govt should have recognised all WHO approved vaccines for emergency use at the onset. Also giving people the assurance of aid if anything goes wrong at the onset instead of dragging their feet. There should never be a need for people to file for claims but an SOP to investigate and pay out where applicable.

Never say ONE BIG MISS:

How much of the 100 billion dollars spent by the government (much of it from the national reserves) to support private business bosses and landlords were given unaccountably? How much of the money was ultimately misspent? How many of those businesses remain in operation now? How many even passed down the money properly to consumers or renters by freezing price and rental hikes?

If you were to put a professional auditing company to audit SG's Covid-19 expenditure, high chance SG will fail it.

Very good point. The government knew there was vaccine hesitancy affecting take-up rates, it would have done them no harm to openly assure and state to Singaporeans that if they take the vaccine and develop side effects, the government will treat them and financially compensate them for it. Since they were so confident that the vaccines had negligible side effects, this should have been an easy commitment for them to use.

But no. Instead the government chose to use VDS to force Singaporeans to get jabbed. Die die push everybody must jab Pfizer. Literally no jab no job no access to public spaces. Overnight it created a two-class society: vaxxed and unvaxxed, and deliberately tried to use social shaming and legal restrictions to force compliance with zero assurances and safety net.

Delaying Novavax for so long (despite Novavax itself taking a long time to develop as well) was also inexcusable. Many people who didn't take Pfizer or Moderna or Sinovac were waiting for Novavax. But because they waited, they got labelled as antivaxxers simply because they WANTED to have their choice of vaccine to take. Where's the fairness and redress for this? Now all conveniently forgotten.

By the broad numbers, it's like at least 1mil to each person. So you can know why there was a spike in luxury cars and whatnots... The money went to certain people more so than the commoners...

And now commoners pay the price for rising inflation and interest rates.

They didn't get most of this helicopter "hot" money. Yet they're the ones now being told that they have to tighten their belts and be more fiscally responsible in their spending.

So is $250,000 enough for severe vaccine injuries?

疫苗可以不打, 手枪一定要打!
疫苗可以不注射, 精子一定要远射!

Cannot debate on whether 250k is enough or not when the government resists even giving it out in the first place.

Many doctors will tell you off the record about how MOH put pressure on them to avoid at all costs from attributing any illness their patients suffer from to their vaccination status. The fact that MOH did not accept any written letter from any GP to support someone not getting vaxxed due to previous drug allergies, plus their later total non-acceptance of drug allergy as an excuse to not get vaxxed (only way you can avoid getting fully vaxxed is if you take one jab, fall sick, get certified by doctors as falling sick DIRECTLY from the vaccine, then you're exempted) is evidence enough of how MOH and the government did not care about potential vaccine injuries.
