UPDATE: The oil spill has spread to East Coast Park.

A clean-up operation is under way after oil washed up the coast of Sentosa's beaches.

A damaged cargo tank had leaked oil into the sea at Pasir Panjang Terminal on June 14.

I went jogging at Labrador park just now and already can see the oil slick on the water. Very big smell too.

Not true. It has many factors to consider.
1)Environmental impact.
2)Risky
3)Weather condition 
4)Oil Type, not all oil kinds of oil are suitable for burning.
5)Need to apply permit from authority.
