After being subsidized by the government, the ticket price for the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train is planned to be set at around IDR 250,000 for routes from Halim Station in East Jakarta to Padalarang and Gedebage.
With this ticket price, it means that the fast train fare is almost the same as the non-subsidized PSO Argo Parahyangan train operated by PT KAI, which currently costs Rp. 200,000 - Rp. 250,000.
Jokowi revealed that subsidies for the Jakarta Bandung Fast Train tickets were needed so that people were encouraged to use this mode of transportation.
Jokowi explained that the Jabodebek LRT train would be inaugurated on August 26, 2023, while the Jakarta-Bandung fast train would be tested again in September 2023.
"The sooner it is operated the better, because we know that every day we face traffic jams, we also face pollution every day," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta.
