You obviously don't know that PAP recruits the creme de la creme of Singapore, and how they brainstorm and debate during Cabinet Meetings.

Cabinet Meetings are not high tea sessions where the ministers congregate to chomp down on samosas and fried bee hoon.
When one minister speaks the others are listening ready to shoot him down..it is through this robust process that they identified LW as the first among equals of the 4Gs.
LHL is not requested to stay on for no reason unless you want to accuse LW of being a fool who can't see what you think is just an aircon blower.
I am very happy and also thankful that LHL has agreed to stay on though a part of me also think that he should retire and enjoy his silver years. He really deserves to..

Even if any Minister wishes to disagree with the PM, his/her spouse will advise him/her not to say anything that would jeopardise his million dollar salary. Money politics ensures compliance and entrenches groupthink. LHL is unwilling to release total control nor give up his $2 + million dollar wages.
