Owing to my "weekend warrior" lifestyle and almost daily gym workouts and jogging, I tore my meniscus last year. The pain was excruciating, and I was limping for up to 3 months. After hydrocortisone and PRP injections that didn't work, I sought physiotherapy for 12 months. I have finally returned to the gym and brisk walking, but not to playing tennis and running. I am approaching my mid-50s, but my worn out knee hasn't affected me as badly as it appears to have done to Julynn Lau. I pray that she will make a full recovery.
