1987 to 1990 Asia Financial Crisis, of coz cheap lah. But also a period where the gap between sinkie land richest and poorest man is the most narrow.

1. I have served the nation in a combat unit for 2.5 + 10 years. I had fulfilled my duty as a citizen, but has the country do it's part for me?
2. I don't know where the threat of CCP is, but I know the threat of CECA is already at my doorsteps
3. I had been called a CCP, JHK, Pinoy, but they never called me a CECA..

The Asia Financial Crisis should be in 1997-1998 and then followed by the dotcom boom (and bust), not 1987-1990.

The gini-coefficient for the last few years has been low for Singapore. Lowest this century at 0.35 in 2020 and 0.36 in 2021 most probably due to the pandemic. No data from 2022 yet.

My bad. Yes, AFC should be 1997/98. Any crisis during 1987/88? Property prices don't drop fro no reason

Property prices dropped from 1983 to 1986 and shoots up from there until 1996 for around a decade. The chart is in the first link below.

I remembered there was one recession in Singapore in 1985. The second link below provides the reason.

During the early 80s many foreign companies were given 5 years tax concession for setting up factories in Singapore. By 1985 the tax concession ended and many factories moved out of Singapore. The second link did not elaborate on this. I remember many students could not land a job after graduating from poly.

I knew about it from a colleague after I started working in the 1990s. He was laid off from the construction sector as the construction boom ended in the mid 1980s and told me about it during one particular lunch back then.

Actually is money printing from USA. Free money created since 2008 so there will never be recession. Just inflation
