Nasrallah became secretary general of Hezbollah in 1992 at just 35, the public face of a once shadowy group founded by Iran Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in 1982 to fight Israel. The first group Iran backed, used as a way to export its brand of political Islam to Arab. Despite power he wielded, Nasrallah lived largely in hiding for fear of an Israeli assassination. Israeli attacks have continued across Lebanon on Thursday amid talks of 21-day ceasefire.
On Wednesday, 72 people were killed in the attack across Lebanon as the death toll from Israel’s bombings surpassed 620.

Some 500,000 people may now have been displaced by Israel’s massive bombing campaign across Lebanon.

Israel has continued its assault across Gaza as well, killing at least 15 Palestinians today.

At least 41,495 people have been killed and 96,006 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza. In Israel, the number killed in the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 is at least 1,139, while more than 200 people were taken captive.

Lebanon, most Western govt are working hard to prevent more bloodshed from morphing into a broader & much deadlier Middle East war.

Around 60,000 civilians have since been forced from their northern Israeli homes by Hezbollah’s rocket attacks.

Israel has for weeks now operated a relentless bombing campaign across Lebanon against Hezbollah’s infrastructure and leadership. Massive airstrikes in southern Beirut have killed a string of Hezbollah leaders, including its elusive and powerful secretary-general, Hassan Nasrallah, as well as more than 1,000 people in Lebanon. It has also forced about 20% of the population – about 1 million people – from their homes, according to aid agencies and the Lebanese government.
