Among the displaced is Haya Nahal, 36, who arrived in Ramallah with her daughter, Raghd, two months before the war. Raghd, 11, has a neurological disorder, and Haya had to leave her husband and son behind to visit Ramallah for Raghd’s treatment.

Hamas said a member of its political office, Ismail Barhoum, had been killed. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz confirmed the target was Barhoum. The military did not name the target, which it described only as “a key terrorist” in Hamas.

Knesset passes contentious law to increase political control over judicial appointments
Knesset has passed highly controversial bill to change makeup of judicial selection committee, which will greatly increase political power over judicial appointments process in Israel. The legislation removes two representatives of the Israel Bar Association currently on nine-member Judicial Selection Committee, which makes all judicial appointments, and replaces them with one lawyer to be directly chosen by the coalition and another chosen by the opposition, also gives political representatives from coalition, opposition & judiciary on nine-member Judicial Selection Committee veto power over lower court appointments, as opposed to current system where no side has a veto, it removes any influence of 3 judges on the committee over appointments to the Supreme Court while granting coalition and opposition vetoes.

SINGAPORE – Close to $1 million has been collected in an ongoing fund-raising campaign for humanitarian relief in Gaza, as contributions flowed in from the Malay/Muslim community and other Singaporeans throughout the month of Ramadan, said Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Masagos Zulkifli.
In his Hari Raya Aidilfitri message on March 30, he thanked the contributors for their generosity towards the campaign conducted by local charity Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF).
The donations will help provide food, medical supplies and essential goods to the people of Gaza.

Iraeli struck a building in Beirut’s southern suburbs Tuesday, killing at least 3 in an attack it said targeted member of Hezbollah militant, the airstrike came without warning days after Israel launched attack on the Lebanese capital, Beirut, on Friday for first time since a ceasefire ended fighting between Israeli forces & Hezbollah militant group in November. At least 7 other people were wounded Tuesday’s airstrike, according to Lebanese Health Ministry.
Israeli military said in statement latest strike targeted a Hezbollah member who had helping Palestinian Hamas in Gaza Strip in attacks against Israel.
