Handphone upgrade cycle stretch to 5-8yrs
#1

10yrs ago I need to upgrade my phone almost every year.

Now after 4yrs a phone is still usable. ..only need to change battery.

Just look at the S10 plus from 4yrs ago vs latest s24 ..there is hardly any difference in performance after 4yrs

Tech companies are not " stupid "

- battery life do improve but there are ones even can last longer they just " slowly release come every new so call new phone every year "

Is more on the mobile OS and apps , the software part will " purposely make those old phone work harder thus battery don't last longer as the apps need to regenerate more data etc backend. Even some purposely make your battery run low more faster and phone slow.

Thus you indirect need to ' force upgrade " and this is why Tech Companies will profits aka means worker got a job to do , their wages etc beside CEO high wages .

sometimes well is all About " cycle " ..

if the speed, memory, camera and some apps can meet yr needs, any phone is gd enough, why need to upgrade unnecessarily?

You are talking about s10e? S10e was upgrade right up to Aug2023. So running apps should be no issue.
  • Release date: August 9, 2023 (GS10e, GS10, GS10+, S10 5G)
  • Android version: 12.
  • Security patch level (SPL): March 1, 2023 (GS10e, GS10, GS10+) ...

The entire ss s10 series including s10e, s10+... All do not support certain functions or run certain apps even with the latest update. It's a hw issue

NS LifeSG Credits for National Servicemen. As announced by DPM Wong on Budget Day 2024, to recognise the contributions of national servicemen to Singapore's defence and security, all past and present national servicemen will receive $200 in the form of NS LifeSG credits, including NSFs enlisting in 2024.
