When you drink kopi you have to tip $1, put under the cup.

When you take a cab, you have to pay tip on top of the charge.

When you eat at restaurant you must tip, write down the amount on the receipt using a pen. Taiwan

When you check into a motel or hotel, someone quickly grab your luggage and send to your room, make sure you tip him….one of my friends was stingy and didn’t give tip, the person was very angry and punched on the wall.

If you forget to tip after drink coffee and leave, the waiter or waitress will chase after you yelling “sir, you forget to tip!” in front of everyone…so embarrassing. Undecided

Yes, I did…however the service is no good nowadays, Msians all come to Spore to work, most of the masseurs are inexperienced Burmese, they dunt know which spot to press, always massage the wrong parts of the feet with extra strength, very painful. Remember I gave tip to one of them who didn’t do a good job, he looked me asking for more, I simply ignored him. I no longer go JB for foot massage, I urge all Sporeans not to go there again as all the good ones are now working in Spore, you will be very disappointed if you still expect the same good service like last time.

Tipping in the U.S. is a must regardless if the service is good or bad. In Asia while tipping is optional you tip someone who does a great job for appreciation. That’s different.
