Helper in S’pore steals almost S$30K from dementia-stricken employer using his ATM PIN

Logs from a tracker on the victim's cane showed that the helper regularly took him to a nearby bank during their walks.

It is better for those of us approaching retirement to spend and not hoard more than we need, or the beneficiaries of our Will may wish us dead.

I know banks can set all 3 levels of ATM $$. For her salary, can que up at the bank.

1. Withdrawal max amount per day for max 3 times per week
ie $40 each time

2. Withdrawal amount per week
ie. total not more than $120 per week

3. Withdrawal amount per mth
ie total not more than $480 per mth

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

After some time if the wish don't come true they may proactively do some action to make it come true. Saw it so often in drama serials.

I know of a granddaughter who told her grandmother's doctor not to revive the old lady if she faints. The doc responded that her grandma did not sign an Advanced Medical Directive, and the granddaughter is not the official caregiver appointed by the elderly woman. It is her nephew who has been looking after the woman for 3 decades. The daughter of the senior has already passed away so most of her fortune will go to that granddaughter. An elderly who faints is not in the same situation as a patient who is in a coma. That granddaughter can't wait for her grandma to die.

Having a bank with helpdesk support in neighborhood may reduce such case.

Yes. We do need more Branches as the population ages and many depend on maids.
