Trust only what Mr Market is telling me. Not the stock market but the Credit Default Swap (CDS) market. This is where the market players are putting their money in where their mouths are. If Mr Market cannot quote a price for the CDS for a country, can forget about buying the country's bonds.
Note: This website does not offer CDS for Singapore because Singapore's bonds are not for public sale. One can find CDS for SingTel and DBS etc
