HK can no longer shine not because it has no talents but because the West does not want it to act as a conduit for cash flow into and out of China.

We have other niches. Anyway, stock market size is NOT a reflection of financial hub. We can be a financial hub without having a very active stock market.

In order to save face, Singapore today's leaders are reluctantly dragging their feet as yet, to mention any long term plan on future water supply needs.
Imo..Probably between 2035 and 2040, a possible proposal by Singapore to have serious negotiation of a new 99 years water agreement .
It will be a needed stabilising factor.

Today, 40% of Singapore's water supply comes from Johor.
So, it's keeping 5.7 mio X 40% = 2.3 mio people alive and kicking...(TCSS)
