I think this may not be due to poor infrastructure (maybe I am too lenient). Sometimes transformers malfunction does happen.
I posted this news mainly because based on the news, it seems like Americans don't boil water. That is surprising to me and thus I posted this news. I boil water even though Singapore's tap water is safe to drink. It does add to the utility cost but it just seems safer to me.
