Trump's tariff is not something new. He said to impose a 10% tariff on all goods to the US and a 60% tariff on Chinese goods in March 2024. He did this as promised after the US people voted him into office in 2025. Things took a twist after China imposed retaliatory tariffs. The US people should not have voted him in the first place if they have objected.

The U.S. needs China more than China needs the U.S. Over past 6 years Xi reduced exports to the U.S. from 25% of total exports during Trump 1.0 to 14% now, pre-planned risk management.
