Actually it is not only an unhealthy food, but very unhygienic food.
A lot of people don’t know, many of these stuffs are produced in Malaysia long time ago and then they are transported here weeks ago.
Then they are not cooked immediately but they are stored for many days before they are transported to various shops to be barbecued. During the barbecue process, the charcoal bits and dusts and smoke kept etching into the meat. Then they are wrapped up and kept aside until you buy and you bring home, Then, you may send to relatives. Your relatives also don’t eat immediately and keep for days.

So imagine from the time it was manufactured and till the time you consumed, don’t know how much Covid and its variants relatives have entered that piece of Bak kwa

Bah kwa for me young is when CNY then can eat it is like a delicacy reserved for CNY. As I grow up the price has gone up the roof like durians so now I seldom eat. If ppl give free I eat but if ownself buy no way overpriced.
