I did my it myself when I sold my 5-rm flat in Queenstown.  Is not that difficult.  There is a course conducted by HDB with the presence of Estate Realty Association, CPF Board and HDB official to answer any questions you may have.

actually hdb should set up a small section to handle it, and charge a nominal fee like $500.

This one more than $10K if DIY....not same as bread or repair bicycle yourself.

This tells you that many of those people who make a lot of money are actually doing very simple things. It's not as though you have to spend years honing your skill. That's why people are avoiding the technical fields like plague.

The process is quite easy. I did it myself. The only problem I faced was that the seller overstated the floor size and screwed up the valuation. The seller's lousy agent didn't spot the issue and I doubt a buyer's agent would have spotted this even if I had engaged one

Yes, dont b a miser, penny wise pound foolish....

Agents r here for a purpose, they r specialised n have all the contacts n do all the paoerwork field work  running around ...at least u have a buffer , an intermediary to help u to resolve problems with difficult tenants ...go to court, u got witness n he has all the lobangs to handke this ..

Worth evety cent spent on a good agent

you can appoint one or more non-exclusive agents and at the same time market it on yr own.

see who's able to sell it faster and/or get better offer.
