Your nerves are like your muscles. If you don't use they will weaken and die. That is why we see many old folks lose their ability to move due ti nerve degeneration. So while we exercise regularly to make sure our fitness, muscle and heart are all in good shape most people neglect their nerve system and that degenerate over time.

Will it not kill the nerve after long usage?

Is electrical stimulation good for nerves?
Clinical studies have shown that electrical stimulation enhances axon growth during nerve repair and accelerates sensorimotor recovery. According to different effects and parameters, electrical stimulation can be divided into neuromuscular, transcutaneous, and functional electrical stimulation.
