Aiyah! Now people buying PMAs

And I will be buying a luggage scooter, too.

Our public buses can be given to Malaysia

And the cars can be scrapped anytime after 5 years

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

Why didnt he raise this issue during his term as MP and deputy Transport Minister?

If so majority is really "gundo" type....

things that are in demand and distributed by money alone. will favour those well to do.
for car, most does not have the dream to own one already. the need has been satisfied by phv.

train for mass quick point to point of daily routine within the route.
bus will never be the replacement. the any how draw red line bus lane is a failed.
bus if want to serve better needs to be route plan. but it can never beat train. flexibility better then train.
big double decker may need review as well. if want flexibility and fast, the mini bus is a better choice.
this will become more feasible when autonomous driving become mature for fixed route. at first l3 with human overall control. eventually it will become full autonomous.
official in control always work base on pass study like bus is the way to go.
but bus is the cause of many traffic jam . for road like bencoolen street between middle road and bras basah is a very wrong decision. the road only has 2 lane. a major route to connect. draw a red bus lane that is 24 hrs restricted to bus is silly. 50% capacity restrictions. how many bus pass thru. for most if not needed drivers will not fight with bus on that lane as bus stop means jam. so people just used it when nearer to traffic light at bras basah end. clear off the red lane towards the bras basah end so that the capacity to pass thru traffic light is not limited.
the case now is people coming force to used stamford rd, a big roudna nd causing jam on the other side.

In all, just buy a house near MRT Stations. This Govt is going to make things worse in the next 10 years.

increased road capacity before increasing number of cars.
some ways are.

1. stop the pub from any blocking road, liek blocking left turn lane when the work is after the left turn.
2. build bridges at junction, no need the full concrete type. a skeleton metal bridge for one lane will do wonders at critical jam point. money needed to research on how to build a low cost bridge that does not take up too much space .
3. erp is just a scheme to take money from people. if erp money is sued to build brdige ok. but where does the erp money go to? for lta to build road that is nice by blocking up all turns but cause a valid turn to go extra 1 km to do uturn back and cause jam at the turn point. not say block up road to look nice is no good. it must be balance with flexibility, one scholar go overseas and tell story cannot just blindly implement on all road.

1 day got 24 hours, one 2 hrs jam in morning and 2 hrs in evening. but block the road for whole 24 hrs is very silly, balance it balance it.

in low volume traffice, a small circle is best solution as it will slow down traffic at junction and allow driver to complete passing the junciton asap.

long traffic green light is good in heavy volume road. but short one are better in lighter road as the wait time is lower. else end up looking at the other side no traffic but red red color cannot move.

traffic are not symmetrical. morning heavy in one direction, heavy in the other one in evening, traffic ight should favour the heavy direction base on time, current traffic light cannot do? ask the business people. you got money they can do.

if there is a straight and left turn arrow on a lane the green arrow must come on together with the green forward light. else one lane will be wasted when one can want to turn. then after when green arrow the next car want to go straight block the rest who want to turn.

green arrow at the same time for both direction is good but some place no good.
like junction of chin swee road and havelock road. most of times there will be lesser traffic coming from chin swee road as most will go into cte, no believe go observe it there. so give lesser green for traffic coming from chin swee road.
