🚌 More bus services, up to 80% off fares: LTA expands peak-hour crowd management scheme for north-east commuters

In a news release on Friday (Dec 20), LTA said commuters must tap in at Punggol Coast, Punggol, Sengkang, Hougang or Buangkok MRT stations along the North East Line (NEL), or any station along the Punggol and Sengkang LRT lines to be eligible for the discounts.

is it time to review better for lta to hands off and leave private to serve. put in guidelines and monitor. the policing people become operator many times will not work out . just make it more expensive then necessary. providing service at times when it is not needed. any how draw red bus lane is waste of capacity little improvement in speed bus causing jam to bus is common sight now. worse is cyclist. they just stay on bus lane and bus ll got to follow behind until they can find space to overtake safely.

also closing of road to use for pedestrian need more safety measure. worry about copy cat actions of car ram into crowd. at least measure like heavy block. or at least a vehicle place at entrance to block entry.
