I spent 1 hr yesterday helping to look for neighbor's mom'
#1

Neighbor's mom is 81yro.

She took her mom to nearby coffeeshop to eat breakfast.
Unfortunately she had to go to the toilet.  She told her mom to wait for her.

When she came out her mom had "disappeared". Coffeeshop people said her mom had walked out. Thinking her mom was still nearby she quick walk around the block to find. She couldn't and contacted my mom. My mom asked me to help.

To cover the area quickly I took my bike to cycle around there are so many blocks, fields and areas.

After combing around for 1 hour j found the old lady sitting at a bench looking at the play ground swing.

I went up to her she struggle but manage to recall my name.

Neighbor came to pick her up and send her home.

She told me her mom's dementia has been getting worse and she would wonder off.

Often she is quickly found. But this time she managed to walk quite a distance to place that was hard to find.

I was thinking how to solve this type of problem as our population age and often we hear of elderly getting lost. They can be quite terrified by their situation.

One way is to implement "air tag" for the elderly so they can be found quickly.

The cost is quite low.

If the old lady has a phone, she can easily be trace and track. Find my phone function!

Old lady doesn't use a phone and difficult to make her carry one.

Was thinking of something like tag she can wear around wrist or neck.

It's a gd business opportunity to help locate missing persons, lost dogs cats and birds. After they're found, can sell airtags to them

Thanks for this suggestion ...but how does it work is reality.

When you push out the photo to people on the next work ...you won't know how long it will take ..person mah have gone to place with few or nobody around like my neighbors mom

I was thinking more.about an electronic solution with high chance to pin point the person's location.

Previously we had trace together token. May be we can have Apple air tag type of token at national level because we have so many elderly now...and many suffer dementia
