You are right. I read somewhere that pigs there are slaughtered by any Tom, Dick or Harry mostly in the kampongs and pig farms without checking for diseases like what is done here in proper slaughter factory. Very dangerous to eat those uncertified meat from dunno what sick pigs. That could be the reason they are so cheap there.
