IATA disappointed with "knee-jerk" COVID-19 measures for travellers from China

Countries imposing restrictions on travellers from China have come under fire from the International Air Transport Association. The IATA said health measures, such as requiring a negative COVID test result, have done little to check the spread of the pandemic. It also described the "knee-jerk" reaction as "extremely disappointing and ineffective". China will stop requiring inbound travellers to quarantine from Jan 8.
