You will be well.  No worries.  He is a good and trusted doc.  He told me that it is the same subsidy just like Polyclinic and Polyclinic hv to wait
long queue.

Just go to a Doc. Next doc will arrange to go for colon scopy. If no issue is best scenario. If found something, sample will be send to lab for testing cancerous or not etc. The key is need to treat early if there is any issue.

After 50 years old, go for FIT check.  It is FOC. You can get the FIT kit at local pharmacy. Hope I never scare you. Better go for the check first.

True, if urgent better rush to A&E. Like this morning I decided to request an appointment with polyclinic for a general check up using HealthHub app and the response I received was "we are looking into your enquiry and an update will be provided within 3 working days" instead of giving me a date and time. I have done my scope before turning 50. The Doc show me the video, other than an ulcer which they tested and everything is good. Gave me some medication with follow up test, everything good.

If go private should be faster.  If govt be prepared to wait a few months unless flagged as emergency.

Best to see doctor but based know fresh blood is less serious than digested black blood as the bleeding is closer to external cavity

Take taxi cheaper. Non emergency case calling 995 will charge you up to $400 SGD.

All should be treated as serious. Fresh red blood indicated location is around the discharge section like colon, rectum area whereas dark or black color blood indicated location is around digestive system like small intestine, stomach, spleen pancreas area. It is what causes the blood that is of concern........ Rolleyes

Can book appointments for polyclinics on the actual day itself...  Bookings open at midnight.

Yes correct. Cannot be taken lightly.

It's serious as it's fresh blood

To me, fresh or dried up blood are also areas of concern as mentioned earlier. It just means different locations in your body. Go check asap.

Online.  Probably via Health Hub.
Or go to Singhealth site. Choose the Polyclinic,  and make appointment there.
Other group's clinics should be similar .

Causes of blood in the stool range from harmless, annoying conditions of the gastrointestinal tract such as hemorrhoids and anal tears (anal fissures) from straining against hard stools with constipation to serious conditions such as cancer. Blood in the stool should be evaluated by a health care professional.

The oncologist is able to determine whether it's cancerous or not very quickly thru biopsy.

I do it on HealthHub and done as what you stated and the response was as I posted earlier - "looking into my enqury and an update will be provided within 3 working days"

I think the fastest way is to go to the desired polyclinic physically and make appointment there with the help of the nurse.
