Importance of National Day : S'pore is a home not a business
#1

So much has happened in the last 10yrs. So much change for the better or worse. But as Singaporeans we should stand together facing challenges and adversity.

Our unity is what money cannot buy ours shared memories our identity is what makes us unique as individuals and as a group.

In recent years many have tried to undermine the importance of identity and  unity chase economic gains. As if the dollars are more important than every thing else for the nation with the highest GDP in Asia. We should worry about what we are losing rather than what we have too much of. I have always been warn of the dangers of greed and if greed guides our decisions everything else that is important will be lost.

This National Day let us reflect on what is important to us as a people. Do not lose sight and do not lose hope. The people will prevail .....

I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
