In Iceland, more than 90 percent of adults are vaccinated, the country declared the pandemic over and lifted all measures. Too early. The number of infections rose faster than ever since the first corona outbreak. Experts also see this as a hint for Germany.

Icelanders believed they had defeated the coronavirus. The incidence was in the single digits for weeks, and there were no further deaths to complain about. So the government in Reykjavík lifted all precautionary measures at the end of June: no more mask requirements, no distance rules, no travel restrictions. The small island state on the edge of Europe in the North Atlantic celebrated its "Freedom Day", weeks before the British.

The around 360,000 Icelanders believed they were safe, as more than 90 percent of the adult population had already been vaccinated at this point. But this certainty was deceptive.

What's so ridiculous about the covid infection rate is that it almost looks like it's centrally control to attack all continents, all vaccination status, all weather and season, all races etc.

At the moment, fully vaxxed still not so bad  in SG. But Isreali data came out, even fully vaxxed can have serious symptoms so still need to be careful.

This looks like a trench warfare that may stretch until 2024.... crying
