There is no way for Lawrence Wong to prove that he is not a "Puppet PM" as long as there is a Senior Minister hanging like a spectre over his head appearing to pull the strings.

Well, let us give him 2 GEs to prove that he can be his own man by changing PM Lee’s priorities and policies. Then we decide thereafter. No need to rush to vote him just yet.

Pinky already filtered out those who can show their own man during the selection process.

Unable to show if early election,
even if two three ministerial positions changes, time is too short.
Some "analysts" put it in Sept, which is too short.
consider last time Goh push in 11 mths and they face a dip.
Especially many used up vouchers by Sept.

They can consider Dec, Jan, Feb or even Jun.

even if he is not his own man, PAP will still get 60% votes.

even if GST is 20%, PAP will still get 60% votes.

the root cause is not PAP, the root cause is the 60% voters.
