SLA said that Ah Shan paid a rent that is above the guide rent but CPIB found that this is not the case. So SLA is deliberately lying to us to aboslve themselves and Ah Shan of any blame?

The review by CPIB did find, however, that SLA had been imprecise in its use of the term “guide rent”.

This meant that SLA, a statutory board under the Ministry of Law, had incorrectly said in a statement in May that the rental offer made by Mr Shanmugam for 26 Ridout Road was above the guide rent, when in fact it was equal to the guide rent.

so an outright lie can twist to become 'Imprecise' lor.

Since SLA can lie to us once, whatever they said could also be lies. SLA should now be investigated and their boss be demoted. In other words, Ah Shan could not shirk his responsibility since SLA is under him.

I find it an irony that Shan don't seem to like Snakes...

...During his visit to the property, Mr Shanmugam noticed overgrown and thick vegetation on an empty slope on land adjacent to the property. He had expressed concern that there could be a public health risk such as from snakes, mosquitoes, or fallen trees.
