JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Chairman of the PDI-P DPP Ahmad Basarah encouraged the government through the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo ( Jokowi ) to apologize to the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno or Bung Karno and his family.
The apology was because Bung Karno at the end of his life received unfair treatment and was accused of being unfaithful to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).
"In our opinion, after receiving the title of national hero, to Bung Karno in 2012, the state through the government of the Republic of Indonesia should apologize to Bung Karno and his family, as well as the Indonesian people for the unfair treatment that has been experienced by a proclaimer of the nation, a founding father of the nation. ," said Basarah when met in the Bandung area, West Java, Tuesday (11/8/2022).
