Indo: Reducing the Quarantine Period for International Travelers to 3 Days
#1

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Spokesperson for the Covid-19 Task Force (Satgas) Wiku Adisasmito revealed the government's reason for reducing the quarantine period for international travelers, from five days to three days.

The addendum stipulates that international travelers who have been vaccinated in full doses must go through a three-day quarantine period

However, international travelers who have just received their first dose will still have to undergo a five-day quarantine. In addition, Wiku said, international travelers are required to carry out a Covid-19 test when arriving at the arrival gate and be tested again after undergoing quarantine. "The second RT-PCR retest to complete the quarantine period, namely the exit test on the third day, and on the fourth day for a 5-day quarantine," said Wiku.

PCR testing is quite accurate in testing for present and past Covid. ART can test negative but PCR can capture it.
