Taiwan news report says that the engine could possibly stopped or stalled that resulted the plane to have nose dive.

What is more perplexed to the authority was that no casualties could be found at the current state.

And this plane model seem to have issues for many years, just two years ago Boeing has made some changes to the plane after both South Africa and Indonesia who held this model has fatalities in 2020.

Just my guess: Possibly one of the pilots tried to commit suicide, the other pilot try to intervene and pull up but was over-powered.

Pilot went crazy from covid-zero and the isolation bubbles he had to serve.

After Boeing 737 Max got problem, they made some enhancement and rename the model as Boeing 737 800. So it is the same model.

So can rule out the possibility that pilot committed suicide….looks like both engines failed to work causing the plane to fall like a stone…the pilots tried to save the plane but failed.

Remember a few years back when one of the engines failed on a Taiwanese domestic flight, the pilot made a mistake to turn off the good engine causing  the plane to plunge into the river killing many on board.
