The only extra option is that you can sell the property for profit or loss. Without that option, it would be much cheaper Big Grin

Would you sell to another person cheaply because it is rental?

All this playing with words.be it lease or own, at the end it is a 99yr leasehold and it is worth based on that

Why is this even debatable? Or else why should freehold and 999 command a premium over leasehold? Are these buyers stupid?

Anyway in HK, most are leasehold but that does not stop it from sitting on the most expensive properties throne.
