Global Recession= period of global economic slowdown or declining economic output

Why do we need 5 Mayors and 80 PAP Ministers?

..I am shocked pro-America-Mediacorp CNA actually point finger at US for the looming "Global Recession" as warned by the outgoing PM. It is like saying worst time is coming, be prepared, but sorry GST is going up. So basically this means US past policies started way back before Ukraine and COVID Pandemic crisis...from Trump's "Trade War" against China from 2018 by rising tariff against Made-in-China imports, to rising interest rate to fund Bidens' "Build Back Better" budget in 2020.

And now  SG gov wanna play along Uncle Sam's sanction-game against Russia. Just exactly how SGrean going to be part of this "recession" because we don't have a spine to diversity from USD with runaway energy cost ?

"...The US Fed announced its biggest rate hike since 2000 on Wednesday and noted that more increases “will be appropriate”. It is not just the Fed; other major central banks are also “frontloading a lot of policy tightening” in a bid to fight rising inflation, economists said. This affects all borrowers who will have to adjust to servicing higher interest rates – be it businesses looking to take a loan or the average person servicing a mortgage."

Is our Govt aware that many countries have poke their nose into the Russian Ukraine War? The looming global recession will trigger a tsunami because we are so small. Are they able to debate if Spending so much on National Military Defence can help us?

We may avoid a recession with HK's strict covid controls. Hope we can take advantage of this.

My prediction for next crisis is property crash.
Song Boh!
Can’t imagine US rate shoot up.
Fed still take own sweet time to raise rate!

There are 3 gigantic bubbles right now.
China property bubble
US stock market bubble
Japan bond bubble.
China property bubble already popped.

recession? it may become a great depression 2.0
purchasing power is eroding world wide, future world growth
will be much slower. Much less fanciful than last 40yrs.

Major changes in asset class weightage is currently at works.
