The the reasons are understandable....
1. Despite being locally assembled, iPhones remain prohibitively expensive in India. Thanks to much weakened Indian rupiah vs USD.
2. Apple Inc has treated India as a "2nd citizen" for over a decade. Apple customers in India will not get access to scores of services, including News+, Fitness+, and Apple Pay.
