PMETs, which are largely not unionised, now form a significant and growing proportion of the domestic labour pool, accounting for 64 per cent of all employed residents in 2022, up from 62 per cent in 2021.
It means PMET unemployment is rising and PAP votes are dropping.
Unemployment benefits are confirmed to be introduced if PAP does not want to lose more GRCs.

They have failed to look out for all profession in the past several years yet brazenly declared 127 professions for CECA. I am not surprised that they will still refuse to admit their folly and rake up some silly ideas to try to fit a square hole.

The late 40s to 50s are prone to be jobless or forced early retirement. Now read news even early 40s start to kena. What is done to support this group of ppl close to age 55 but not yet there yet? This group is the sandwiched between elderly parents and growing up children where children not earning yet to support themselves?
