The report says Israel is seeking the release of 100 women and children believed to be held by Hamas, while the group has said it is willing to release 70.

It cites an Arab official who says there are at least 120 Palestinian women and youth in Israeli prisons who could be freed in exchange.

Israel would also agree to a temporary ceasefire of up to five days to allow the safe passage of hostages and an influx of aid for Gaza civilians, according to the report.

If Israel is going to negotiate with hamas to release hostages, why dont Israel just do that from the start since that was what hamas wanted, ie, release Palestinian women & children in Israeli prisons in exchange for Israeli hostages?

Why need to kill 11,000 Palestinians? Is it because what Israel really wanted from the start is destroy gaza, chase the residents out, and take over their land?

And one more thing, why are there thousands of Palestinian women & children held hostage in Israeli prisons for years?
