IDF will only take in heavy casualties if they storm the tunnels. On open ground they will use their plane, arty, tank power to flatten to ground first. This is same US marines strategy in WW2 Pacific Islands war. They will bombard the island non-stop for hours to flatten all Jap resistance. Then they send the US marines in. This is where US casualties start to spike up. So Israeli being smart ppl will highly unlikely to storm the tunnels they will just re-use US strategy to pour cement and seal up the tunnels entrance/exit.

Lesson learned by the U.S. Army during Vietnam war. Heavy bombing is not going to defeat & destroy Hamas…but Netanyahu is stubborn and wants to save his political life after the protests against his recent misconduct…let Isreal learn a lesson in a hard way.

Agree. In Vietnam War US use napalm bombing to devastating effect but still cannot win. So I think Israel want to win Hamas very difficult can wound them but cannot eliminate them entirely. Already saw video of young Palestinian children wearing green head-dress to take up arms to join the fight. Israel got how many men to take on all of them when they grow up?

Can Israel men go rape the Palestinian women to make them pregnant so later the babies grow up on Israel side so Israel future got more manpower to fight Palestine? Hmmm.... but then the blood will be contaminated leh.

True IDF unlikely to do many tunnel fights, they can apply what Russia do to take Mariupol.

While significant of 300000 is expected to deploy outside gaza, guarding other players 
whatever number in will still many times to  Hamas fighter.
