There is a war,  thousands of people will die.  Its not something can be resolved by proposing or can be mediated by negotiations or by quoting or using international laws.  Hatred are deep down & would take many many years or even a few generations to forget what happened.  Very likely, proposal will not be accepted. Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said Tuesday it had elected deputy head Naim Qassem to succeed slain secretary general Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed by Israeli air attack on Beirut’s southern suburb over a month ago. 

Group in a written statement its Shura Council had elected Qassem, 71, in establishing mechanism choosing a secretary general. He was appointed as Hezbollah’s deputy chief in 1991 by armed group’s then-secretary general Abbas al-Musawi, who was killed by Israeli helicopter attack the following year. Qassem remained in his role when Nasrallah became leader a long time ago been one of Hezbollah’s leading spokesmen, conducting interviews with foreign media, including as cross-border hostilities with Israel raged over the last year.

“His tenure in this position may be shortest in the history of this terrorist organisation if he follows in the footsteps of his predecessors Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine.”

A US Navy aircraft carrier is rearmed and back in the Red Sea amid a Houthi missile crisis with no end in sight. Two US Navy warships on the front lines of the Houthi battle are back in the Red Sea.

The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and USS Gravely made a recent port visit in Greece, spokesperson confirmed that the two ships were resupplied and rearmed there. US Navy aircraft carrier that spent months battling the Houthis in the Red Sea is rearmed and back in the waterway after a short break. The warship's return comes as American intelligence officials warn the conflict may go on for a while.

WASHINGTON -- The U.S. military has struck a number of Islamic State group camps in Syria this week, killing as many as 35 militants, U.S. Central Command said Wednesday.


The airstrikes in the desert of central Syria were done Monday evening and targeted multiple locations and senior leaders of the group. The attacks came on the heels of a number of joint operations with Iraqi forces that targeted IS militants in Iraq.

Pentagon officials have said that the Islamic State group remains a threat in the region, but it is no longer as powerful as it was 10 years ago when the militants swept across Iraq and Syria, taking control of large swaths of the two countries.

U.S. Central Command said latest strikes in Syria attack group's ability to plan, organize & conduct attacks against civilians as U.S. and allied forces said. It said there were no indications of civilian casualties in the strikes.
