Why is Hamas, whos fighters are Palestinian men defending their land called terrorists, while Israelis in uniforms & tanks invading Palestinian land are not called invaders?

By the way, the term IDF "Israel Defence Forces" is misleading.

Just what is it defending?

It is first & foremost, an Occupying force, who steal Palestinian land (which is illegal under International Law).

When Palestinians rise up to fight & reclaim their land (which they are entitled to under International Law), the IDF violently suppress them with the help of the US.

So, the IDF is actually defending an illegal occupation that is indefensible by law.

As released by IDF, 333 soldiers were killed, a senior commander was killed last week as well. Looks like at least 1000 IDF soldiers will be killed.
