Italians are Habitually Late

An Italian Australian who used to work in Italy before told me, when Italians come to office in the morning they start chitchatting while waiting for the computers to start up, by the time they finish talking it is lunch time already. After lunch they start chitchatting again followed by coffee break, after they return from the break, they continue chitchatting then shut down the computers and go home….they didn’t even login to the system and didn’t do any work for the day….this is very common….how wouldn’t a country like this go bankrupt?
