JPN: The number of sea turtles laying eggs finally fell to zero last year
#1

While there has been concern about a decline in the number of loggerhead sea turtles landing and laying eggs in Tokushima Prefecture, the number of eggs laid finally fell to zero last year.

According to the prefecture, this is the first time since 1999, and the number of landings was three, the lowest ever. Although concerned parties are working to protect the environment near the coast, the number continues to decrease. Experts point out that ``a prefecture-wide response is needed.''
