Japan sees increase in COVID cases for 17 straight weeks

Japan's health ministry says coronavirus cases in the country have risen for the 17th consecutive week.

The ministry has been monitoring the nationwide trend of COVID-19 cases through a weekly survey of around 5,000 medical institutions.

The japs have worn masks for so long that many of them haven't gotten COVID yet. Now the virus infections are just doing catch up.
