I think it's not something you over complicated.

1. Jews left the area 2000yrs ago..
2. Another  group of people settled on the land and called it home.
3. Some Jews decided to come back but the land already have others settled there.
4. Naturally there will be conflicts and this led to violence.

There are 5 million people that have to be properly settled in a decent  place they can live and work ...and not have their  land encroached upon...and have decent living conditions.

This has not been done.

While there are people on both sides of the conflict....I think in recent yrs people have started to see things differently.

I remember during Obama era he wanted very much to preserve the 2 state solution and spoke against Israel settlement in Palestinian territories.

But when Trump come in his policies were totally one sided tk Israel. He moved embassy to Jerusalem a very dangerous move that led to violence and deepening conflict.
